Bags & Pouches

The fabric used in the ReSpiin Recycled Woven Bags & Pouches is made from used cement sacks. These are cleaned, shredded, melted down and then made into fine fibres. The fibres are dyed (with azo free dyes) then woven into fabric. The fabric maker then supplies this recycled HDPE fabric to our producer.

The cutting, stitching and finishing of our range of stylish, strong and functional bags all takes place in their factory in India. Our producers have been in this line of business since 1991 and their factory has a Sedex Ethical Trade Audit (4 Pillar) and ISO certified. They are also registered members of GoodWeave.org and Fair Trade Forum India.

Depending on the design, the bags are finished with colour coordinated webbing straps, magnetic closure and zips ensuring that they not only look good but are also very practical. Due to the nature of the recycling process, and the thread produced, there may be small variations in colour and occasional imperfections in the weave – all part of the unique charm.
