Helleo
Helleo is a small, creative, sustainable business located on the Greek island of Crete, producing high quality natural, handmade soaps and room fragrances from organic extra virgin olive oil.
Founder Manos comes from a family of olive farmers, inheriting his own olive groves from his grandparents. He has continued to cultivate these olive trees in the natural way, with no pesticides, tilling or burning. But instead of focusing on selling the raw olive oil, Manos has developed the business to make soap from the quality olive oil he produces.
He has also diversified the business to set up his own natural food forest where he grows fruit, flowers and herbs. Any waste is composted and used to feed the plants and trees. And it is these high-quality, organic ingredients that are used in the unique soap bar blends Helleo produces, along with other ingredients from small local farms, where they know the producers personally.
The uniqueness of the Helleo products and production process is illustrated on their beautifully designed packaging so that the customer can enjoy the story. All materials used in the packaging are plastic-free and 100% recyclable or compostable.
Olive Oil Soaps are completely natural, handmade and ethically produced by cold process, they clean gently, effectively and keep the skin moisturized. Each blend is created using herbs, fruits and flowers grown in the Helleo ‘food forest’.
