EcoCoconut
EcoCoconut produce 100% plastic free coconut products for everyday life. Their brushes are made from durable coir fibre, attached to a stainless steel wire. The handles on the brushes are made from Rubber trees grown in a sustainably certified plantation. Both the products and the packaging are plastic free.
Coconut fibre, or coir as it is more commonly known, is a natural fibre extracted from between the hard internal shell of the coconut and the outer coat of the coconut. It is a byproduct of the coconut harvesting process, and is considered a renewable and sustainable product since new crops of coconuts can be regrown repeatedly on the same trees.
Coir’s water resistant qualities makes it an ideal cleaning material that can be paired with any detergent or cleaning agent on any given surface or location. It cuts through tough grease, is naturally antibacterial and is safe on non stick surfaces. It is effective in cleaning hard surfaces like hobs and ovens, and will remove leftover residues and mould. Free from toxic chemicals and biodegradable.
Care is simple – just rinse after each use and store in a dry place. On first few uses you may notice some loose fibres or ‘dust’ but these will reduce over time.
